Yes. If you do not wish to submit an abstract, please select “None” under Presentation Form in the application form.

No. On-site registration is not possible for organizational reasons. Please register online before the registration deadline.

Abstracts must be submitted through the online application form as part of the registration process.

The abstract submission deadline has been extended to 31 August 2026.

No. Each participant may submit only one abstract.

Yes. Please send the updated version of your abstract to obd2026@uni-jena.de

All submitted abstracts will be reviewed after submission. As the review process may take some time, we are currently unable to provide an exact notification date. You will be informed by email once a decision has been made.

The abstracts are evaluated by the scientific coordinator of Organic Battery Days 2026.

You will normally receive your invoice number within a few business days. Due to the high number of applications, processing may occasionally take longer than usual. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

No. Please wait until you receive your invoice number before making the payment.

Payment can be made by invoice or through the available online payment option.

Yes. You will receive a confirmation once your payment has been received and processed.

A preliminary programme is already available and is updated regularly. The final programme will be published once all presentations and organizational details have been confirmed.

• Plenary presentations: 45 minutes, including 5 minutes for questions.
• Invited lectures: 30 minutes, including 5 minutes for questions.
• Contributed lectures: 20 minutes, including 3 minutes for questions.

Posters should be in DIN A0 format (841 × 1189 mm) and prepared in portrait orientation.

No. OBD 2026 presentations will not be livestreamed or made available online.

Yes. A limited number of rooms have been reserved at selected hotels in Jena for the period from 4 to 8 October 2026. These rooms can be booked using the reference “OBD2026” and are subject to availability and booking deadlines.

No. Local public transport is not included in the registration fee.

Participants can purchase single tickets or day tickets for buses and trams in Jena. A day ticket allows unlimited travel within the selected zones until 03:00 the following morning. Tickets are available through local ticket machines, the FAIRTIQ app and other authorized sales channels.

There is currently no dedicated three-day visitor ticket for the conference. Participants who already have a valid Deutschlandticket may use it on local buses, trams and regional trains, but not on long-distance trains such as ICE, IC or EC services. The Deutschlandticket is offered as a monthly subscription.
